My Dog Has Been Put To Sleep

She has been around since before I can remember, I can't comprehend it, that she is gone. We buried her in the garden at the spot where she would lie down and relax in the sunlight.
She was a good pet, I have cried a lot, it is still very raw, I try to think about other things, but I am constantly dwelling on it, But she was getting old and she wasn't well, it was the kindest thing to do, I know that in my head, but my heart s so sad. I think that is a reoccurring theme in life, the right thing to do can often feel like the hardest thing to do.

  1. im so sorry for your loss. a pet youve had most of your life is no different than losing a family member or close friend. it can be devastating. just remember that she is no longer in pain. in time you will heal and will be able to share your love with a new pet. but for now try not to dwell so much (easier said than done i know) if you need to vent or talk it out, do so, it can help alot. many of us have lost beloved pets as well so we understand. *hugs*

  2. I am very sorry for your loss.

I understand that it must be very hard for you. As long as your doggie lived a long and happy life, that is all that matters. You will always have pictures and memories, to remember her by.
I am very sure your dog is, in a better place waiting to see you again.

Once again I am very sorry for your loss.

  3. Oh SR I'm so sorry for your loss. The pain of losing a pet can be just as a painful as losing family member. I know it's hurts, but you can't dwell on it. It had to happen sometime if she was sick. You gave her a life some animals aren't fortunate to have. You gave her a loving home and a full life. You did everything right and it was simply her time. Things will get better. Again so sorry to hear this.

I wish I could give you a real hug. *hugs*

  4. So sorry to hear about this, SR. I haven't had to live through that, although I likely will at some point with my cat, but I imagine it must be very painful for you right now. Sending thoughts and well wishes your way.

  5. I'm so sorry. Pets give us so much pleasure in life but take comfort in the fact that you did the best thing you could for her, she's no longer suffering. I am such a dog lover and I feel your pain. You're feeling so raw right now but it will get easier and you will have such happy memories of her.

    Big hugs x

  7. That's sad! I have one of my dogs died once, and I cried for like days. I do not like dogs dying, but every dog has to die.
